This policy applies to Hotspot Mate for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, published by SnapWorks Lab. Hotspot Mate has no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, developer account system, or cross-app tracking.

1. Data processed on your device

To diagnose and recover a connection, the app may process the current network path, connection state, DNS and web reachability, sign-in portal result, current Wi-Fi name (SSID), masked access-point identifier (BSSID), security type, and timestamps. On Mac, Expert Details may also process signal strength, noise, SNR, channel, band, channel width, PHY mode, and link rate.

Saved Wi-Fi passwords are stored in the device Keychain. They are not included in iCloud continuity records, widgets, logs, or developer-operated servers.

2. Camera, photos, and OCR

The camera and photos are used only when you choose to scan or import a printed Wi-Fi notice. Apple Vision performs text recognition on the device. Source images and recognized text are not uploaded by Hotspot Mate and are discarded when the review session ends.

3. Optional private iCloud continuity

iCloud sync is off by default. If you turn it on, Hotspot Mate stores limited records in your private CloudKit database so supported devices signed in to the same account can continue recent diagnosis and Usage Guard views.

The synced categories are:

Device ID: a pseudonymous app-generated device identifier used for deterministic merge, duplicate prevention, and deletion propagation.
Other Diagnostic Data: platform, timestamps, before/after connection state, path/DNS/HTTPS summary, portal confidence, selected action, success state, and duration.
Other User Content: Usage Guard pool settings, device display names, limits, reset day, time zone, and warning thresholds that you choose.
Other Usage Data: app-observed daily usage rollups, observation-gap count, and threshold receipts for Mac and iPad.

These data types are used only for App Functionality, are linked to your private iCloud account for continuity, and are not used for tracking.

4. Data never included in iCloud continuity

SSID, BSSID, IP or MAC address
Wi-Fi passwords or Keychain contents
OCR image, recognized text, or candidate values
Portal URL, query, page content, cookies, or credentials
Raw DNS query text or Expert Details raw values
Raw RX/TX counters, interface names, or individual usage sessions

5. Retention and deletion

Recent active diagnosis summaries are retained for up to 30 days and up to 50 items per device. Deletion markers may be retained for at least 60 days so deleted records do not reappear on another device. Usage Guard records remain until you archive or delete the related device or pool.

You can turn off iCloud sync from Usage Guard. You can remove recent diagnosis records with Delete diagnosis history on all devices. When sync is on, deletion is propagated through your private CloudKit database.

6. Usage Guard accuracy

Usage Guard shows reference values observed by the app while it can measure Mac or iPad traffic. It does not collect carrier billing data, does not represent router totals, and does not estimate periods it could not observe.

7. Purchases

Pro purchases and restores are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Hotspot Mate does not receive or store your payment-card information. Local purchase status may be shared with the app's extensions on the same device so widgets and controls can hide or reveal Pro information safely.

8. Website analytics

This public support website may use host-gated Google Analytics to understand aggregate page usage. Website analytics are separate from the Hotspot Mate app and are not used to track you across apps. You can use the app without visiting this website.

이 방침은 SnapWorks Lab이 제공하는 iPhone, iPad, Mac용 Hotspot Mate에 적용됩니다. Hotspot Mate에는 광고 SDK, 제3자 분석 SDK, 개발자 계정 시스템, 앱 간 추적이 없습니다.

1. 기기에서 처리하는 데이터

연결 진단과 복구를 위해 현재 네트워크 경로, 연결 상태, DNS와 웹 도달 여부, 로그인 포털 결과, 현재 Wi-Fi 이름(SSID), 가린 액세스 포인트 식별자(BSSID), 보안 종류와 시각을 처리할 수 있습니다. Mac의 Expert Details는 신호 세기, Noise, SNR, 채널, 대역, 채널 폭, PHY 모드와 링크 속도도 처리할 수 있습니다.

저장한 Wi-Fi 비밀번호는 해당 기기의 Keychain에 보관합니다. iCloud 연속성 기록, Widget, 로그 또는 개발자 운영 서버에 포함하지 않습니다.

2. 카메라, 사진과 OCR

사용자가 인쇄된 Wi-Fi 안내문을 직접 촬영하거나 가져올 때만 카메라와 사진을 사용합니다. Apple Vision이 기기 안에서 문자를 인식합니다. Hotspot Mate는 원본 이미지와 인식 원문을 업로드하지 않으며 검토 세션이 끝나면 버립니다.

3. 선택형 private iCloud 연속성

iCloud 동기화는 기본으로 꺼져 있습니다. 사용자가 켜면 같은 계정으로 로그인한 지원 기기에서 최근 진단과 Usage Guard 화면을 이어 볼 수 있도록 제한된 기록을 사용자의 private CloudKit 데이터베이스에 저장합니다.

기기 ID: 병합, 중복 방지와 삭제 전파를 위한 앱 생성 가명 식별자
기타 진단 데이터: 플랫폼, 시각, 연결 전후 상태, Path/DNS/HTTPS 요약, 포털 신뢰도, 선택 행동, 성공 여부와 소요 시간
기타 사용자 콘텐츠: 사용자가 정한 Usage Guard Pool, 기기 표시명, 한도, 초기화일, 시간대와 경고 임계치
기타 사용 데이터: Mac과 iPad에서 앱이 관찰한 일별 사용량 요약, 관찰 공백 수와 임계치 도달 기록

이 데이터는 앱 기능에만 사용하고 연속성을 위해 사용자의 private iCloud 계정에 연결되며 추적에는 사용하지 않습니다.

4. iCloud 연속성에 절대 포함하지 않는 값

5. 보존과 삭제

활성 진단 요약은 기기별 최근 30일·최대 50개를 보존합니다. 다른 기기에서 삭제된 기록이 되살아나지 않도록 삭제 표시는 최소 60일 보존할 수 있습니다. Usage Guard 기록은 관련 기기나 Pool을 보관 처리하거나 삭제할 때까지 유지합니다.

Usage Guard에서 iCloud 동기화를 끌 수 있습니다. 모든 기기 진단 기록 삭제로 최근 진단을 지울 수 있으며, 동기화가 켜져 있으면 사용자의 private CloudKit 데이터베이스를 통해 삭제를 전파합니다.

6. Usage Guard 정확도

Usage Guard는 앱이 Mac 또는 iPad 트래픽을 측정할 수 있던 시간의 참고용 관찰값입니다. 통신사 청구 데이터나 공유기 전체 사용량이 아니며 관찰하지 못한 구간을 추정하지 않습니다.

7. 구매

Pro 구매와 복원은 Apple StoreKit이 처리합니다. Hotspot Mate는 결제 카드 정보를 받거나 저장하지 않습니다. 같은 기기의 Widget과 Control이 Pro 정보를 안전하게 가리거나 표시할 수 있도록 로컬 구매 상태를 앱 extension과 공유할 수 있습니다.

8. 웹사이트 분석

이 공개 지원 웹사이트는 전체 페이지 이용 현황을 이해하기 위해 운영 도메인에서만 Google Analytics를 사용할 수 있습니다. 웹 분석은 Hotspot Mate 앱과 분리되며 앱 간 추적에 사용하지 않습니다. 웹사이트를 방문하지 않아도 앱을 사용할 수 있습니다.
